Yeppoon is the major centre for the Capricorn Coast, and is situated just north of the Tropic of Capricorn on the Central Queensland Coast. Yeppoon, well known for its laid back hospitality is only thirty minutes drive from Rockhampton, you'll find beachfront dining and sheltered swimming. Drop into the sailing club for a cold beer; wander along the picturesque esplanade with its lush palms and backdrop of sea, sky and islands. Browse through the many quaint art and craft shops and boutiques in Yeppoon. 

Rosslyn Bay, just south of Yeppoon  is the take off point for Keppel Bay and The Keppel Islands

ISLANDS OFF YEPPOON COAST.

Just off the coast of Yeppoon are the Keppel Islands. Great Keppel Island and North Keppel Island. There are a number of smaller islands off the Yeppoon coast, such as Myall island, Middle Island, Humpy Island and many other smaller islands. The many islands, small and large, makes the sea views from Yeppoon so inviting.

At the last census the population of Yeppoon was approximately 13,500.  As Yeppoon continues to grow the estimated population is now much higher.
